Purple Star Astrology is a traditional Chinese charting system. It arranges symbolic stars and twelve life domains from birth information, then adds timing layers.
Zi Wei Dou Shu, also written Ziwei Doushu or called Purple Star Astrology, is not a sun-sign system. Traditional calculation starts with a birth date, a two-hour birth-time window, and a gender rule used by the school of calculation. The output is a twelve-palace chart.
What the twelve palaces do
Each palace gives a life topic a place on the board: direction, work, resources, partnership, home, wellbeing, travel, peers, and more. A careful reading moves between them. It does not turn one palace or one star into a verdict about a person.
Why the stars matter
The fourteen major stars supply the chart’s symbolic vocabulary. Their placement, companions, and palace context create the pattern people discuss. The names are traditional symbols, not physical stars making claims about your future.
What timing adds
Decade cycles, often called Da Xian, place attention on different life domains over time. They can make a planning question more memorable: what needs structure now, what can be tested, and what deserves patience. They cannot guarantee an event, income, relationship, or diagnosis.
