How accurate is Zi Wei Dou Shu?
Separate calculation from interpretation.
A chart can be calculated consistently from inputs. That does not make every interpretation or prediction scientifically validated.
Direct answer: Accuracy has at least three parts: whether the input time and location are correct, whether the chart algorithm is implemented consistently, and whether an interpretation is specific, testable, and responsibly limited. These should not be collapsed into one claim.
A whole-chart reading order
Verify the birth record and timezone, compare nearby traditional windows when uncertain, and make calculation assumptions visible. For interpretation, require chart evidence, distinguish traditional symbolism from practical translation, avoid hindsight, and prefer reversible experiments over high-stakes predictions.
Turn the reading into a bounded test
Write one interpretation as a hypothesis, one observable behavior or decision it relates to, and a date to review the evidence. Keep the original wording so hindsight cannot rewrite it.
Limits that matter
Zi Wei Dou Shu is a cultural symbolic system, not a scientifically validated forecasting method. Do not use it as evidence for medical, financial, legal, employment, or safety decisions.
Keep the evidence visible
Write the palace, star, Four Transformation, decade, or annual placement behind each interpretation. Then write the practical translation separately. This makes it possible to disagree with the translation without pretending the chart calculation changed.
